"The brutal reality is New Zealand needs billions to rebuild Christchurch. I am asking expat Kiwi graduates to help their homeland by making repayments to their student loan.

If the 85,000 Kiwis living overseas with a loan, made additional payment to reduce their debt it would be a shot in the arm for the New Zealand economy.

If only a few respond the effect will be significant, but if most of you do then it will be the stuff of legend."
